1. Acquire an 8.5in x 11in sheet of paper. Fold the paper in half lengthwise along the center, matching the top edge to the bottom edge. Press firmly to create a crease. This forms the centerline for your paper airplane.
2. Unfold the paper to reveal the crease line running down the middle.
3. Fold the top edges down to meet the center crease, forming an isosceles triangle. Ensure both sides are symmetrical, then press firmly.
4. Fold the newly formed triangle down, aligning its top edge with the bottom edge of the paper.
5. Fold the triangle up horizontally, about a quarter up the triangle.
6. Fold the paper in half along the original center crease, bringing the wingtips together.
7. Rotate the paper so that the longer folded edge is at the top.
8. Fold both top corners down to the centerline, creating wingtips. Adjust the angle to your liking.
9. Fold the edge of both wingtips up.
10. Make any final touches or adjustments to the wings and tail to ensure your paper airplane is balanced and ready to fly. Hold your paper airplane at the midpoint of the body, just in front of the wings, and gently throw it with a smooth, level motion to enjoy your flight!
